The slatwall panels are 8 foot by 4 foot panels with a series of horizontal grooves that are used to display merchandise in a retail environment. Many types of inserts slip into the grooves to create different method of exposure. The staved panels can be stacked vertically, to form in a higher wall, or positioned side by side, for further horizontal layout. Moreover, they can also be cut to desired size.

Another type is the knife bracket, which acts as a carrier for holding the shelves. The shelves can  be made of glass, wood or metal and they simply sit on top of the bracket. This style is perfect for  displaying folded clothing like jeans and a sweater, or for pursue and shoes. In addition to the bracket, there are also hooks or clips. This is normally used for lighter elements, such as jewelry, belts, hats, because they can not support as much weight as the bracket. Both the bracket and the hook are available in many lengths, so that retailers have many options.

Most merchants incorporate a combination of different bracket and hooks in the shop. Because the slatwall accessories simply pop in and out of the groove, it can be changed monthly, weekly, or each day.
